It depends on the treatment. A first consultation usually takes longer because we talk through your goals, medical history and suitability before anything begins. We would rather take the extra time than rush that conversation.
Most treatments allow you to return to your day, though some can cause temporary redness, swelling or tenderness. We will explain exactly what to expect for your specific treatment before you agree to it, along with full written aftercare.
We will tell you honestly and explain why. Sometimes that means suggesting a different option, sometimes it means recommending you speak to your GP first, and occasionally it means no treatment at all. That conversation is part of the consultation, not an extra.
